LIONEL PODCAST: Robot Sex Will Destroy Our Species

Don’t laugh. In the long run, who’s the robot? Think about it.

LIONEL PODCAST: Media Distortion, Factual Contortion, Reality Abortion

I want you to imagine. Imagine you are in the position of the country you’re now bombing or whose bombing you’re supporting. How would you feel about us? Good, start with that position and move accordingly.

LIONEL PODCAST: Trump, Bush, 9/11, Trumpers & Truthers

Truthers meet the Trumpers. Donald Trump as the NY Post reported suggested that former President George W. Bush was partly to blame for the 9/11 attacks.

While speaking about national emergencies, Trump said that he would be a better president than his rival candidates or earlier presidents.

“I think I’m much more competent than all of them. I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time,” Trump said on Bloomberg Television.

“He was president, OK? . . . Blame him, or don’t blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”

That’s not to say there was no negligence. We all remember this revelation.

Truthers have a very serious problem with critical thinking. But there’s no evidence Bush or anyone of any organization, state, government or intelligence entity was directly involved in 9/11. That’s not to say a permanent investigation is not in order. And that’s not to say the event is not fraught with myriad issues. Serious issues. But know when to be the juror and when to be the detective.

LIONEL PODCAST: Playboy Brilliantly Drops Passé Nudity

Shocking! Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, the New York Times reports, “nervously” presented a radical suggestion to Hugh Hefner: the magazine, a leader of the revolution that helped take sex in America from furtive to ubiquitous, should stop publishing images of naked women. Playboy was revolutionary then and can be now by realizing that nudity is ubiquitous and not shocking. Today at least. Listen.

LIONEL PODCAST: Drones, GMOs, Syria, Putin, Assad, ISIS and the Magic Mirror

This makes no sense. And therein lies the theme to today’s show. Enjoy.

LIONEL PODCAST: “Lithium Love” and the Mentally Ill Killer

You be the judge. Read this excerpt anent the latest psycho killer and ask yourself what role psychiatric medication played in this horror. But the argument’s always been that it’s just about guns. Remove the guns, remove the crime. I submit that guns are the instrumentality of the crime. The real culprit is mental illness.

The revelation that Umpqua Community College shooter Chris Mercer used the screen name “lithium love,” along with other references to prescription medication, strongly suggests that the gunman was taking psychiatric drugs that have been linked to violent outbursts.

As the Oregonian reports, “There are a number of indications that Harper-Mercer had mental health or behavioral issues. His screen name on some social media sites was “lithium love.” Lithium is used as a psychiatric medication.”

Lithium is used to enhance the effect of SSRI drugs, a number of which, “have also been linked to increase risk for violent, even homicidal behavior,” reports Time.

On one of his Facebook posts, Mercer also made reference to a number of different prescription drugs he was taking.

“I have a pill bottle with like five types of pills mixed in. I don’t know which ones are the sleep aids, so I just took four of each,” wrote Mercer. [Source]

LIONEL PODCAST: Silly Gun Talk. Keep Issues Simple and Base.

Would that. I wish we simply had the guts and the courage to admit freely that we simply have no interest in finding solutions to problems but would rather just respond reflexively. Guns are a wedge issue. They’re a part of a political cycle that’s since closed. Guns, God, Gays. The main issue is economics. Focus accordingly. Don’t be led by the ponderous forces seeking to distract and divert. Look to putting on the agenda forces that matter. Obama and the Dems seek to have gun control provide a refurbishment of their left cover. With killer drones, the debacle of ISIS and Syria, his left wing sheen has dulled. Gun control burnishes the sullied image. Guns are a wedge issue. Democrats want gun control hysteria to provide left cover. Don’t be duped. The human toll of the global financial oligarchs makes this pale my comparison. Focus on proxy wars and mass annihilation via drone strikes. Focus.

LIONEL PODCAST: Russia Clobbers ISIS in Syria. So Where’s the Applause?

So where’re the applause and parades? Yesterday marked a major and dramatic shift by all accounts in the fight against the international cancer called terrorism with ISIS targeted in Syria.  It opened the path towards an eventual peace in the Middle East, the world prays. Russian fighter jets launched 20 sorties over Syria yesterday, destroying at least eight terrorist targets with surgical strikes. According to the London Daily Telegraph, the strikes also destroyed ISIS ammunition, fuel, command posts and communication centers. Unlike the war plan of various coalitions, which included limited air raids against ISIS that were ultimately proven to be pathetically ineffective, these strikes by Russia were announced as being coordinated with the legitimate Assad government of Syria. That is, by invitation. The Russian-Syrian attacks represent the beginning of a cooperative effort to destroy terrorism in the Middle East.

A new era in international politics is emerging as Russia comes into the Middle East theater for the first time in decades. For the second day in a row, Russian jets struck terrorist targets in northwest Syria, hitting the areas of Jisr al-Shughour and Jabal al-Zawiya. These two areas have been under the control of Jaish al-Fatah, the Army of Conquest, which includes factions of al-Nusra and is thus a wing of al-Qaeda. The Syrian Al-Fatah is technically on the US list of terrorist organizations, yet it is being supported by Turkey and Qatar, allegedly members of the US led anti-ISIS coalition. [1] The message of the NATO nations now appears to be that all attacks against ISIS are acceptable, but all attacks against al-Qaeda are abhorrent. The idea of the US shielding al-Qaeda will undoubtedly come as a surprise to the three thousand US victim’s families who have been made to believe that al-Qaeda was responsible for the attacks of 9/11. [TWP/UFAA]

McCain’s view. But that’s not the way others see it. Senator John McCain said that he could “absolutely confirm” that Russian air strikes had hit Free Syrian Army rebels who had been armed and trained and supported by the US. “Their initial strikes were against the individuals and groups that have been funded and trained by our CIA in an incredible flaunting of any kind of co-operation or effort to conceal what Putin’s first priority is, and that is of course to prop up Bashar al-Assad,” Mr McCain told CNN. Now, remember, logic would militate against Assad embracing any factions or coalitions whose sole goal was his dispatched elimination.

Propping up an ally. Imagine that? How many Americans have forgotten that, like it or not, Russia and Syria ave been committed allies for decades since the days of Assad’s old man. Without a mention of history all of this seems so, well, nefarious. When in fact, it’s called history. And shouldn’t we applaud the ablation of ISIS no matter who’s the “surgeon”?

And what sayeth the media? You can only imagine.
