LIONEL PODCAST: Americans Truly and Delusionally Believe Their Vote Matters. Who Speaks the Truth?

Who is today’s Howard Zinn? Pete Seeger? The protest singer or songwriter. Who today comes close to penning such relevant classics as Monster?

The spirit was freedom and justice
And its keepers seemed generous and kind
Its leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won’t pay it no mind
Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
Now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it’s all just an echo of what they’ve been told

Joachim Fritz Krauledat (born 1944)

The activism, the poetry of dissident died almost 50 years ago. Think about it. How incredibly sad. Because if ever there was the need for such, it’s today. Today’s Ted Baxter sockpuppet media rubber stamp everything. They’re too cozy with POTUS and too afraid to speak  out.

LIONEL PODCAST: Don’t Worry About Voting. It’s Rigged!

Reality sets in. I know this infuriates Obamanation acolytes and true believers. This can’t be. It just can’t. It is. And, what’s worse, it’s an extension and continuation of Dubya-Cheney. Hopey’s not any different.

Friday. I dropped my iPhone in the urinal at the gym. Hallelujah, I’m alive. I stopped my morning routine to get a replacement phone at the Apple cult center. Who are these people? They’re nice, too nice. They frighten me. That glazed expression, that 1000 yard stare. And the crooked smile. They walk among us and look like we are.

What motivates a craze? It’s my fascination with macropsychology. The psychology of units and people and the like. What controls trend and fascination? To be able to harness that would be the ability to harness the power of people themselves — their loves, fears, dreams and motivations. As Tower of Power asked, “What is hip?”

LIONEL PODCAST: The Real American Idol

Bono, meet The Hedge. I have a friend who will remain nameless. And he has an almost homoerotic fixation with all that is Wall Street, especially hedge fund managers. He’s not exactly sure what a hedge fund is or what one would even manage but he sports a chub at the mere mention of all that is hedge fundy. They’re his rock stars. My friend’s sick.

And what he fails to realize is that the rapacious greed that these people possess prevents them from ever achieving worth as a human being. They are vain, callow, craven and piteous. They feel superior to mere mortals and only give my friend a second of their time because they mock him behind his back and . . . I’m making all of this up, but you can certainly enjoy a brief respite from reality. Now, where was I?

CISPA. Admit it, Sparky. You have no idea what CISPA is, now do you. Let’s see if this video explanation infra helps.

And enjoy the podcast. That’s the best 30¢ you’ve spent. Am I right? [Out of earshot: Cheap bastard!]

LIONEL PODCAST: The Most Dangerous Person In Our Country. Take A Good Look.

Shameless proponent. Don’t blame Big Sis. She and Hopey are just members of the house band. They’re just implementing globalist, Draconian agendas. That being said. She scares the living scheiße out of me. (By he by, what’s dying or dead scheiße? That’s a lovely thought.) The only enjoyment of late is seeing her pretend to take heat for the latest Secret Service scandal. She’s playing the role perfectly. Taking her lumps. If only she could know the discomfort her TSA goons have caused countless thousands of Americans silliest enough to think they could fly unmolested.

Up against the wall, kid. Say aahhh! What rights do you or your kids have to refuse giving DNA data through buccal swipes and swabbing? Ha! What do you think?

LIONEL PODCAST: Have You Heard the One About Marissa Alexander?

Explain the difference(s). Marissa Alexander faces a minimum mandatory 20 years in the hoosegow over firing a round into the ceiling of her home. Oh, I forgot to mention, her husband and two stepsons were present and claim she trained the weapon on them first. They also claim she was the aggressor. And did I mention she had a carry permit for her gun?

Is it about race? The local NAACP chapter President is in her corner and vehemently suggests that Stand Your Ground (SYG) should be implemented to acquit her. Big Ange Corey, that’s right, that Big Ange, opposes any such leniency, dismissal of charges or new trial, The jury has spoken.

So what gives? Welcome to the world of big time law, kids. A million cases, a million decisions. One law.

So what do I do now? Thank Zeus you’re not Marissa Alexander and enjoy the podcast.

LIONEL PODCAST: “There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.”

“The challenge remains. On the other side are formidable forces: money, political power, the major media. On our side are the people of the world and a power greater than money or weapons: the truth. Truth has a power of its own. Art has a power of its own. That age-old lesson – that everything we do matters – is the meaning of the people’s struggle here in the United States and everywhere. A poem can inspire a movement. A pamphlet can spark a revolution. Civil disobedience can arouse people and provoke us to think, when we organize with one another, when we get involved, when we stand up and speak out together, we can create a power no government can suppress. We live in a beautiful country. But people who have no respect for human life, freedom, or justice have taken it over. It is now up to all of us to take it back.”
― Howard Zinn, A Power Governments Cannot Suppress

Enjoy this, the latest podcast installment.

LIONEL PODCAST: There Is Nothing Zetetic in Our Ted Baxter Media

Prolegomenon.I know exactly how this black sheep feels. Exactly. The lone (pardon the inaccurate analogy) wolf. Different and ostracized because if it. You play the game. And you’d better play the game or you lose. No one wants to hear anything from you that’s alternative anything. But you can spout the Ted Baxter sockpuppet media all day long without a worry or a concern.

Whither critical thinking? If you want to read absolutely frightening lapses in critical thinking read no further than my Twitter feed @LionelMedia anent Trayvon. The folks who are caught up in the process are Trayvoniacs who care nothing about the young man, but bask in the limelight and the warmth of the publicity, the moment, the cause.

A Twinkie eulogium. But on a more serious note, did you hear there may be no more Twinkies?

LIONEL PODCAST: Stupid Is Genius Compared to the Sewer We Call Earth

Perhaps that was a tad harsh, but not really when you think of it. Look at what’s happening. Look what we’re being acclimated to and by. You’re immersed in stupid. Wallowing in stupid, So usual and ordinary and ubiquitous is stupid that you don’t even recognize it as stupid any longer. The depth of news coverage is so shallow, its content so vapid, that you and my beloved countrymen have lost the sense of news, as in sensory awareness. You’re welcome.

LIONEL PODCAST: Issues Are Personal. Critical Thinking Has Nothing to Do With Them. Sadly.

Avoid the notion that there’s logic and order in the world. There is, but not among humans. There’s no loyalty and faith. No trustworthiness or class or proportion or decorum. There just isn’t anything like that at all. And your education begins now. On your own.

This is the time to unleash the power of the Interne(s) before it’s too late. Before the feds and the world government hits the kill switch. And believe me, they can. At any moment.

LIONEL PODCAST: You’re Not Going to Believe the Case of Greyston Garcia. Trust Me.

Meet Greyston Garcia. For those who are traumatized by the application of Florida’s Stand Your Ground law in the George Zimmerman case, meet Greyston Garcia. And I hope lactating mothers and people with peacemakers consult their physicians before reading this.

No one argues the facts: Greyston Garcia killed Pedro Roteta in January by stabbing him in the chest following a foot chase through Little Havana after catching Roteta stealing his car radio. Garcia also hid the knife, lied to the cops about stabbing Roteta, and even pawned some other car radios the thief had on him when he died. But Garcia won’t face any time over the killing, thanks to Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law — the same rule at the heart of the Trayvon Martin case. A judge ruled today that Garcia was within his rights to chase the thief and could have feared for his life when Roteta swung a bag of stolen radios at his head. Miami New Times has the story.
