LIONEL PODCAST: Hurricane Sandy Devastates New York & The Tri-State Area. And I Should Know.

Surreal? That’s putting it mildly. RT provides yet again superb documentation.

The Financial District. This is mind-boggling. It looks like war-torn Fallujah after we brought democracy to the Iraqis. It’s near Wall Street and the Financial District. On three: WOW!

The eeriest of eerie. Lower Manhattan. South of 40th Street. No lights, no life. An abandoned movie set. Horrific.

Herein a discussion inter alia:

  • Personal experience.
  • Observations and musings.
  • Media coverage.
  • Ted Baxter agog and amok.
  • The seeming rationality of the prepper. They don’t seem as crazy anymore, now do they?
  • Second Amendment, anyone? Especially as to hoards of looters, flash robbing and organizing on Twitter.
  • Cue the HAARP, angel.

LIONEL PODCAST: Thank Gawd! Mother PIX is Back on Cablevision!

They’re here. Back again.

Finally! Here’s the story.

PIX 11 is back on Cablevision.

Tribune Broadcasting, WPIX’s parent company, released the following statement Friday evening

“We’re pleased to announce that Tribune Broadcasting has reached an agreement with Cablevision for the rebroadcast of PIX11. We thank our viewers for their loyalty and continued support. You can look forward to the return of your favorite CW shows and top-quality local programming, including award-winning news, political coverage, traffic, weather and live sports.”

The agreement also covers Tribune stations in Hartford, Denver and Philadelphia.

“We’re looking forward to bringing them the top quality local and national programming they expect, including award-winning news, political coverage, traffic, weather and live sports, including NFL Football and the World Series, ” Tribune said.
Founded in 1948, WPIX is an integral part of life in New York. PIX has entertained and informed generations of New Yorkers through its award-winning news department and its entertainment as well as holiday programming, including “The Yule Log,” which PIX introduced in 1966. WPIX is now the flagship station of the CW network, carrying such hit shows as “Vampire Diaries” and “Gossip Girl.” PIX also televises Mets games.

This is tremendous relief to many of our loyal PIX viewer family members. I know that I and my colleagues felt a tremendous sense of elation mixed with relief upon hearing the news last night.

Brilliance. Exhibit A.

In fact mention PIX to anyone and they’ll mention this: the most cutting-edge example of programming ever. Ever! I still marvel at how masyerful this seemingly simple concept was and is.

And this is what you might have been missing. Behold. And we apologize in advance.

LIONEL PODCAST: GMOs Are Poison. They Will Kill You. Now, Any Questions?

Vegans, GMOs and food. Or something. This subject should consume every inch of your being, and Jeffrey Smith’s Seeds of Deception will freak you out and change your life. It did me and mine. Say no to GMOs. Trust me.

And speaking of horrifying video. This inexplicable catalog of horror also deserves a watch. But lactating mothers and people with pacemakers should consult their physicians first. No, I’m serious. I start binge thinking and the next thing you know, all hell breaks loose.

LIONEL PODCAST: Cow Chips & Freedom

Have you ever seen Beaver? The epicenter. Beaver. In the land of the Pawnee: Uukuhuúwa. It’s as American as overeating and excessive tanning. I know something about cow chip tossing. I was a two-year champ at the Plant City Strawberry Festival.  I don’t want to brag but can you blame me? In this podcast I share a number of deep thoughts, viz. my absolute loathing of adult women who attempt to experience the fleeting feeling of beauteousness through donning a Halloween. It’s a mélange, a pastiche of mentation. My favorite things. To celebrate life it’s imperative you focus in on that which may seem simple but is awash in complexity. Is that clear. I hope so.

Video sole mio. My sunshine. Tom Jefferson note “[b]ut friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine.” Enjoy this life. Just avoid the treacherous and miserable.

LIONEL PODCAST: The Greatest Metaphor Ever. Period.

Follow me. I’ve got you covered. The coast is clear. Cover me, Luke, while I make it to the wagon. Over and out, Ma. (That was an outro valedictory from a great radio personality years ago. It never ceases to crack me up.) I have no idea of its relevance but it makes me smile. The notion of taking cover. Taking protective action. Avoiding the onslaught of an aggressive government. Duck and cover. Avoiding tyranny.

Do you see anything odd here? Every thought, idea, name it is hand-crafted. Artisanal. Sounds like a beer. That’s it. My commentaries. Beer like. Here’s to good friends. (Wasn’t that the Löwenbräu ad?)

LIONEL PODCAST: The Coolness of the Label. The Reality of the Theory’s Rigours.

The brutality of naked ideology. Tarpley’s certainly a critic. Here’s a great disquisition/indictment on the subject. The cartoon speaks to the libertarian brutality and Ayn Randian survival of the species. I know and understand the lure and pull of the Libertarian label, but be not mistaken the practical application of much of its doxy is cold blooded and brutal. That being said … .

The horror of HD serialization of thought. There are some fine examples of cinema verity. And not cinéma vérité. What’s the difference? What’s the difference between a fractal and Richard Deacon? See? Look run through done if these at your earliest convenience. They’re brutally great. True. No, honest.

LIONEL PODCAST: Talking on Empty. Thinking on Fumes.

I Tolle you. I love this. “Life is the dancer and you are the dance.”  ― Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose.

Video augments and supplements the radio star. I truly feel the symbiosis. You?

An an entire debate and this is all they focused on. See? John Stuart Mill note the following: “In all intellectual debates, both sides tend to be correct in what they affirm, and wrong in what they deny.” The Ted Baxter sock puppet media let you down again. they beyond suck; their gravitation power is without peer. It’s limitless.

Stare carefully. This is no trick photography. The truth is that shocking.

LIONEL PODCAST: Still Think There’s a Difference Between Romney and the Other Guy?

Please forget about the debates. They simply don’t matter. And you know that. In this episode: bread service rage, Florida crackers, I play a little gee-tar, fun with physical therapy, Pirate reenacting and a host of miscellany that is sure to tickle your heart. There’s so much to our world. More than the coward media will even approximate. They’ve no interest in anything but the bloody status quo. They are absolutely worthless. Tits on a boar. Surplusage. Offal. Awful at that.

Snow White, Superman and Pinocchio are walking along. They see a sign: CONTEST FOR WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. Snow White goes in, later comes out smiling, wearing a crown. They walk along and see another sign: CONTEST FOR WORLD’S STRONGEST MAN. Superman goes in, later comes out smiling, wearing the awarded belt. They walk along and see a sign: CONTEST FOR THE WORLD’S GREATEST LIAR. Pinocchio goes in, later comes out with his head down crying. Pinocchio sobs asking, “Who the hell is Mitt Romney?”

The video compendium grows exponentially. Have you seen the Lionel YouTube Channel? Over 1200 uploads. How does he do it (?), you ask. Seven a week. Every week. De minimis video. A sprinkling of graphics. Little distraction from me. And the message. See?

Do dyslexics go batshirt?
