The Detachment From Reality Is On A Greater Scale Imagined

McDonald’s is making a major push into AI-driven restaurant operations. The company is testing AI voice ordering in drive-thrus, automated systems that monitor equipment, inventory and order accuracy and computer-vision tools designed to make restaurants faster and more efficient. It is not quite a world of humanoid robots flipping burgers, but it is moving steadily toward restaurants requiring fewer routine human decisions. McDonald’s previously tested automated drive-thru ordering and pulled back after accuracy problems, but the company is now returning with a broader AI strategy. The more interesting development may be pricing. AI systems can analyze sales patterns, competition and customer behavior to help franchisees determine menu prices. So the real story is not simply robot cashiers. It is AI increasingly influencing how your order is taken, how the restaurant operates, what food is stocked and potentially what you pay.

A beautifully relaxed take on “Fly Me to the Moon,” blending the sophistication of jazz with the effortless sway of bossa nova. The familiar standard becomes warmer and more intimate, carried by understated rhythm, elegant phrasing and an atmosphere that feels simultaneously cosmopolitan and unhurried. It is less a reinvention than a change of scenery: Sinatra transported from a swinging nightclub to a late-night Brazilian lounge. Smooth, romantic and remarkably easy to leave playing in the background.
